Women Rock the Future

A hike empowering women and girls

Saturday, September 26th

Women Rock the Future is a community hike designed to build community and raise support for education, advocacy, and food programs supporting women and girls in New Haven and León, Nicaragua. The September 26, 2026 hike will run through through beautiful East Rock Park and will include guest speakers. We hope you will register and join us in celebrating the role of women’s leadership in the history and future of New Haven’s Leon SCP's community development projects....and the critical importance of the empowerment of women in our society more broadly.

Hike Details:

A walk/hike in East Rock Park on well used trails and roads on Saturday, September 26th, starting at 10:30am.

Start: East Rock Park by Livingston and Cold Spring Streets.

​

End: Edgerton Park (Whitney Ave and Cliff Street) where CT Folk Festival will be kicking off at noon.

​

Route: To top of East Rock via East Rock Drive; descend via Farnum Drive.
