As part of our marking the 20th anniversary of the New Haven/León Sister City Project members of the New Haven staff and Board and some spouses traveled to Nicaragua. Our focus was the important issue of water. Nicaragua is at a critical juncture. Will this essential resource be considered a social good and, therefore, available to all at affordable prices or will it become a commodity subject to the market forces with the real danger of becoming unavailable to the poorest.
